Chris Knight studied silversmithing and Jewellery at Sheffield City Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art. In 1992 he established a studio on Londons’ South Bank, which he relocated to Sheffield in 1996, and where he still works. Known for his functionally and visually provocative domestic and ecclesial silverware, Chris is represented in many public and private collections including The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, and The Victoria and Albert Museum.
Chris is a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, past Chairman of the Association of British Designer Silversmiths and is a part-time senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University. His work is widely collected, and is always challenging.
