Jane Short

Born in 1954, Jane Short is one of Britain’s finest enamellers. She was first introduced to enamelling in 1974 whilst training to become a Jeweller at the Central School of Art and Design, and all the work she has subsequently produced has been enamelled.From her studio in Brighton, Jane divides her time between teaching enamelling, producing enamel work to commission and for exhibition, and enamelling pieces by other major silversmiths. Her work is in many prestigous Collections including the V&A, The Ashmoleum Museum, The National Museum of Scotland, and the Queen’s Collection. Her work is highly collectable, and a delight to exhibit.
