Kate achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Design at Liverpool Hope University, followed by a Masters Degree in 2011. Following her residency at the Bishopsland Educational Trust, where she honed her silversmithing skills, and learned new techniques, Kate worked with Clive Burr at the Goldsmiths’ Centre Farringdon, until she set up her own business in 2013. Kate won the 2012 Young Designer Silversmith Award from the Goldsmith’s Company, and the beautiful fruit bowl that she subsequently created is now in the Museum of Scotland’s Permanent Collection.
